Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device or on your personal Audiobookshelf server:

• Preferences and settings - Stored locally on your device
• Listening statistics - Stored locally on your device
• Library data - Synced with your personal Audiobookshelf server
• Wishlist - Stored in Apple Reminders (your iCloud account)
• iCloud sync - Optional sync of preferences via your iCloud account
• Apple Watch playback state - Synchronized between iPhone and Apple Watch, no separate data collection on watchOS

Podcasts Data

Podcast-related information is stored locally on your device:

• RSS feed subscriptions - Stored locally on your device
• Episode downloads - Stored locally on your device
• Listening progress - Synced with your device only

Data Export

You have control over your data:

• Export listening statistics in CSV format
• Exported data contains only locally stored information
• No automatic data transmission to external services

Third-Party Services

Audiary connects only to:

• Your personal Audiobookshelf server (user-provided URL)
• Librivox.org (free audiobooks catalog)
• Open Library API (book search and metadata)
• iTunes Search API (book covers and metadata)
• Apple iCloud (preferences sync and Reminders)
• Podcast RSS feeds (user-subscribed feeds)

No data is shared with advertising networks, analytics services, or other third parties.

Children's Privacy

Audiary does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
